14.2 Uploading Instructional Materials to Blackboard
Click the Lectures and Resources folder in the week where you want to upload your material. Point to the Build Content tab, click Item. The Item name should be appropriate to the content of the lecture. Just below where you named the Item, you will see several button choices related to the type of lecture resource. You may select any button to upload your material, but be mindful that you can only upload certain items with these buttons.
Upload an Embedded Media: iSpring
If you have a PowerPoint lecture you converted using the iSpring plug-in, you will use the Insert/Edit Embedded Media button.
Use Browse My Computer to locate the .SWF file of the iSpring lecture.
To add the lecture, simple click insert.
Recording your Lectures
There are other options to choose from for you to upload or record your lectures. You can record from the webcam.
After clicking on the Webcam option, click sign in to YouTube. Then sign into Google.
You will be prompted to Grant Access.
Click Record From Webcam to start recording.
If prompted, allow Adobe Flash player settings and click OK to allow Blackboard to use your Webcam.
When you are finished recording, Click Stop Recording. Then click Upload to place your video onto Blackboard.
Upload a File: Document or PDF
If you have a document or PDF lecture, you will use the Insert File button.

Upload an Image: JPG/JPEG
If you have a document or PDF lecture, you will use the Insert/Edit Image button.

Uploading Mashups
You also have the option to upload Filckr Photos, a "cited" youtube video, or a building block to open your Blackboard Collaborate room using the Mashups drop-down button.
Once you have chosen one of these options for uploading your course material(s) click the Submit button.
Selecting either Flickr Photo or YouTube Video will open a search box. Here you can search for any photo or video you would like to add directly to Blackboard.
