12.2 Adding Questions to a test.
Tests can include a vast number of questions, or very few (typically quizzes). This section will discuss how to add questions to your test through Blackboard. Start by choosing Tests, Surveys, and Pools within the Course Tools of the Course Management Control Panel.
Left-click tests.
Locate the test you would like to add questions to, and select Edit from the drop down box to the right of the test name.
To add the questions themselves, hover over the Create Question button and select the type of question you would like. For instance click on Multiple Choice.
As you can see, there are numerous options that come with a multiple choice question. Lets start with the Question Title. This is just a unique identifier for the question. For now, call it Question 1.
Next, is the question itself. This should be written in the Question Test dialog Box.
After writing your question, you may alter the Options to suit your needs. Answers can be shown in an organized or random manner.
Now for the answers. In the following text boxes, you will create 3 incorrect answers and one correct one. The correct answer is marked by selecting the circle next too an answer response.
If you would like, you can enter feedback within the next section. Although it is not required for the creation of a test question, it is highly sought after by students. Here you can comment on a correct or incorrect response.
If you find that you would like to use this question for a different test, you can add categories and keywords to it to find it more easily.
The last section is for any notes you would like to add to the question.
To finish entering your question click Submit.
Say, for instance this was a true/false question. The steps are quite similar with only minor changers. First the options have change.
Second, you need only choose true or false for the answer.
One more example is the Short Answer question. In this example there is no Options to edit. However, it dose require you to provide an example of the correct answer in the Answer text box.
The Short Answer also has a place to enter a Rubric if necessary.
Remember when you are finished click submit.
