Chapter 13 Introduction
As much as cheating remains a pervasive blight in the classroom, so too does it plague the space of online learning. The freedom granted to students taking courses over the internet has created new opportunities for students (at least, those who lack integrity) to cheat on their assignments. In this chapter, we’ll review some of the high-tech ways students can engage in academic dishonesty, gain insight into cheating electronically versus cheating in the classroom, and learn some tips on how to lessen the impact of cheating in Blackboard.
