12.4 ADA Compliance Features in Tests
There is only one real feature for ADA compliance in tests. This is the Test Availability Exceptions section within the Test Options. These features include individual timers, due dates, availability and access parameters.
Locate a test requiring student exception by going to the green Control Panel located under your Course Menu. Click Course Tools and select Tests, Pools, and Surveys. Left-click on the double-drop down arrows next to the test link. Click Edit.
You are now within the Test Canvas of the test you have selected. Next, click on the drop down box to the right of the test name and select Modify Options.
You should now be within the Test Options of your current test. Scroll down until you see Test Availability Exceptions section. Click on the Add User or Group button to begin.
After clicking the Add User or Group button, the Add User or Group window will open. This window lists all the students attending your course. To give exemptions to certain students, simply click on the check-box on the left side of the screen next to a students name. When you are finished click on the Submit button.
The student that you have select is now exempt from test constraints. From this point, you can now give that student multiple attempts, alter test timing limitations, change the availability, and alter forced completion. If you selected a student by mistake, simply click the X Button on the right to delete that user from the exempt list.
