2.3 Grading Discussions
Grading Discussions involves alternative grading methods, although they can be graded from the Needs Grading page (if this option is selected), just like Assignments and Tests(quizzes). For most Discussions, you will grade them from the discussion board itself.
To grade a current Discussion, locate the Course Menu and select the Discussions link.
To grade a current Discussion, locate the Course Menu and select the Discussions link.
The Discussions Forum is where all of the Discussions Threads reside. To locate the Discussion Thread in need of grading, scroll down until you find the current Discussion. You should see a complete list of all enrolled and active students on the Grade Discussion Users Forum page. To grade a students engagement with their peers, click the Grade button located on the right.
From here, the grading process is very similar to grading an Assignment. Grading is accomplished either through manually entering a grade in the small white box next to Grade on the right, or by grading with the use of a Grading Rubric (see Chapter 2 Section 2.1).
Once a grade is entered, click the Submit button to move onto the next student. If all posts have been graded, you will be directed back to the Grade Discussion Users Forum.
