You are now ready to complete the activities for Chapter 1. In these activities, you will prove your learning by completing tasks in your Training Template. When you log into Blackboard, your training template is the course listed like: Training_YourName. Use your Training Template to complete the following activities.

Activity 1
Objective: Make a course available for students using the “Customization>Course Properties” menu in Blackboard.
Overview: For this assignment, you must make your training template available for students. Your training template contains a set of fictitious students, but in your future courses, you will have to "turn on" your course for your students each semester on the first day of classes.

**Make sure to check your course under “Sections” to see if the “unavailable” message is still present next to it. If it is, repeat the process.
- Log into Blackboard and enter your training template (The one with your last name and "training" in the title).
- Click Customization under Control Panel at the bottom left of your screen.
- Click Properties.
- Scroll down until you see the section titled Set Availability.
- Click Yes next to Make Course Available.
- Click Submit at the bottom of the page.
- You should see a message at the top of your screen verifying that your course properties have been updated.
**Make sure to check your course under “Sections” to see if the “unavailable” message is still present next to it. If it is, repeat the process.

Submission Instructions
When you have completed these activities, follow the instructions below for submission:
1. Log into Blackboard.
2. Locate the Blackboard Training course named Blackboard Training (the course you are enrolled in as a student).
3. Click on Course Content on your course menu.
4. Click on Week 1 and locate the Submit Assignments folder.
5. Click on the Chapter # Activity (make sure to click on the specific activity submission link with the number matching the activity you have completed in this chapter. Example: Click Chapter 1 Activity after completing Activity 1 in the Blackboard etext).
6. Enter the "I have completed these assignments" statement in the submission text field.
7. Click on submit to inform your instructors that the activity is ready for grading.
**NOTE: You will not receive credit for these activities if you do not do this step!
