5.6 Recording Lectures
Collaborate is LSSC's lecture capture tool of choice. You can record everything you do in a Collaborate room, from sharing an application to lecturing with a PowerPoint presentation and Web cam, all with the click of one simple button: The Record button.
To lecture capture, load your PowerPoint (if you are using one), make sure your audio is working properly, then click the Record button--it will change to state Recording. Talk just like your normally would in a classroom, using Collaborate's features to illustrate your lecture.

When you are finished recording, click the Recording link. If you need to pause your recording at any time, use this button.
For your recording to finalize, you must leave the Collaborate room. It takes about 10-15 minutes for your recording to generate.
When you have passed the Collaborate activity, LSSC's eLearning department will issue you a Collaborate room and provide you with the link to the list of your recordings. To share a recording with your class, simply send them the recording link from your list.
