Chapter 2: Grading
Grading is not as complex a process in Blackboard as many new instructors believe. Most of the time, it is simply a matter of entering a number, leaving a comment, and clicking the "next" button. The process is even easier with built-in Grading Rubrics for course activities.
Assignments, Discussions, and Tests(quizzes), make up the majority of gradable activities. Almost every online course will consist of a variety of these activities. While this may sound like a great deal of content to evaluate, every submission is recorded and accessible through the Full Grade Center located on the Control Panel below the Course Menu.
Generally, to grade an activity in a Blackboard course, instructors will locate the Needs Grading page, where submissions are listed in order of submission date.
This second chapter will teach you how to grade an Assignment, Discussion, and/or Test(quiz), and how to manually insert 0's in your full grade center to ensure the total shown to students accurately reflects their progress.
